Gov. Murphy Delivers 2023 State of the State Address
This week, for the first time since 2020, the governor delivered his annual State of the State address in person to a joint session of the State Legislature.
Gov. Murphy announced an extension of the filing deadline for the ANCHOR property tax relief program to Feb. 28. This program allows certain homeowners to receive property tax rebates of up to $1,500.
The governor also announced the creation of a boardwalk fund, to assist shore municipalities with upgrades to their boardwalks without an increase to local property taxes, and he called for an overhaul of New Jersey’s liquor license laws, including those governing local breweries and distilleries as a way to help these small businesses.
