Last month New Jersey Realtors® Educational Foundation awarded $60,700 in scholarships to 38 students pursuing a college or university degree.

1. State Legislature Passes Bill A4454/S3192

Tell Me More: The State Assembly and State Senate officially passed the Real Estate Consumer Protection Enhancement Act. The bill now awaits the governor's final approval.

What Should I Know About the Bill? The bill will mandate the use of the seller's property condition disclosure statement, disclosure of representation at open houses, allow for designated agency, and mandate buyer agency agreements.

2 Gov. Murphy Signs FY 2025 State Budget into Law

What's the Latest? Both houses of the State Legislature passed the fiscal year 2025 state budget. The governor then signed it late Friday evening.

What Else Should I Know? The budget appropriates $56.7 billion in state funds and $27.5 billion in federal funds. It does not include any new taxes or fees impacting the real estate industry and will provide property tax relief for homeowners and renters, create a new funding stream for NJ Transit, and yield the highest level of school funding in history.
