New Updates to the COE Application
The 2023 New Jersey Realtors® Circle of Excellence Sales Award® application is now open. This year, there were two updates to the application:
1. Rental Calculations
The calculations of rentals to units were changed for both long-term rentals and short-term rentals:
Long Term Rentals
1 Long Term Rental = 1 Unit
Short Term Rentals
10 Short Term Rentals = 1 Unit
These new rental calculations apply to Dollar & Unit Method and Strictly Unit Method.
2. Non-MLS Rental Date
For non-MLS rental transactions, the sale used for transaction eligibility is now the lease start date. Rental transactions listed in the MLS remain as a close date.

State of the State
Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver Passes at Age 71
New Jersey Realtors® mourns the loss of longtime public servant Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver. As lieutenant governor, she served as Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs and worked on countless programs that impacted the real estate industry such as affordable housing initiatives, fair housing, and more.
Before running with Gov. Murphy, she was the first African-American woman in state history to serve as Assembly Speaker, and the second in the nation’s history to lead a state legislative house. Read more here.
